Agatha All Along is packed with fun! In a new interview, the project’s showrunner sings the praises of Aubrey Plaza and teases its musical elements.
One of the best parts of WandaVision was that every episode came with a bespoke theme song to enjoy. While the same won’t be true for Agatha All Along, it seems showrunner Jac Schaeffer isn’t bringing the series to Disney Plus without a song or two, stating in a recent talk with TotalFilm that fans should “Get ready for some songs.”
It’s not likely Agatha All Along will be able to create another earworm like its namesake. However, it’s good to hear that Jac Schaeffer felt free to include some songs in a Disney Plus series seemingly marketed as a Halloween haunt fest. Yet the musical elements aren’t the only thing Schaeffer is excited for fans to see.
Aubrey Plaza Nails Her Witchy Role
While fans don’t know much about Agatha All Along, they know almost nothing about Aubrey Plaza’s role in it. The actress is set to play a witch in the series, though no official word has been stated about whether she’ll be good or bad! Jac Schaeffer continued to play coy, though tilted her hand just a bit about her role in the Disney Plus series.
“It was a pleasure to work with Aubrey [Plaza] because she’s so funny and such a live wire, and she’s so unpredictable in the best way,” Schaeffer explained. “All of that is thrilling and funny, but also she’s so interested in going as deep as she possibly can in any scenario, even if it’s comedic.”
Hearing that Aubrey Plaza will be able to stretch her comedic chops once more should bring a smile to the faces of Parks and Recreation fans. Plaza has shown herself to be an incredibly versatile actor in the last few years, and it’s clear that Jac Schaeffer plans to use that to the fullest in Agatha All Along when it hits Disney Plus.
