Agatha: Darkhold Diaries is set to reintroduce fans fo Wanda’s son Billy Maximoff as Billy Kaplan. A new set of rumors teases the nature of Wiccan’s revival.
It’s a fairly open secret that Joe Locke is set to take over as Billy Kaplan, a.k.a. the Wiccan, in the MCU during the events of Agatha: Darkhold Diaries. However, details have been sparse on what exactly happened between Wandavision and Agatha Harkness’ solo outing to cause this. Thankfully, insider CanWeGetSomeToast sheds some light on Billy’s new soul situation and how his essence might be shown in the Disney Plus series:
What’s interesting to note is that CanWeGetSomeToast draws a distinction between Billy and William. It’s possible the implication of this along with the “hermit shell” comment could mean that Billy Maximoff’s soul yearns for love while the body of Billy Kaplan is mostly emotionless, serving only as a vessel created by Agatha Harkness.
Who else is attached to the Agatha Harkness series?
Agatha: Darkhold Diaries is a spin-off series of WandaVision and revolves around Kathryn Hahn’s Agatha Harkness. The show is being developed by Jac Schaefer, who served as head writer and executive producer of WandaVision. Schaefer was also one of the writers behind the hit Marvel films Captain Marvel and Black Widow.
Besides Kathryn Hahn, Agatha: Darkhold Diaries also stars Aubrey Plaza, Ali Ahn, Maria Dizzia, Sasheer Zamata, Debra Jo Rupp, Emma Caulfield, David Payton, David Lengel, Asif Ali, Amos Glick, Brian Brightman, Kate Forbes, David Payton, David Lengel, Asif Ali, Amos Glick, Brian Brightman and Kate Forbes.
