Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. returned last night as they kicked off their hot fourth season with the introduction of Gabriel Luna as Marvel’s Robbie Reyes a.k.a. Ghost Rider. One of the new changes for this season was a change of timeslot as the beloved Marvel drama was moved to the 10 PM timeslot, which has allowed the show to go into darker directions and feature a grittier tone.

But it has also been a change that some were concerned with as to how it would possibly affect the ratings. Well, the ratings are in for the Season 4 premiere and the numbers are actually solid. TV Line reports that the Season 4 premiere, which was titled “The Ghost”, was viewed by 3.6 million viewers and got a 1.1 in the demographics. While down a little bit from last year’s Season 3 premiere, tonight’s premiere did better than the short-lived series Wicked City that premiered last year at this timeslot.

In case you missed it, here is a preview for next week’s episode of the new season, titled “Meet The New Boss” which features the first appearance of Jason O’Mara as the new S.H.I.E.L.D. director!
