Ahsoka is set to bring the Star Wars animated world to life on Disney Plus. The runtime for the first three episodes has now been revealed.
Disney Plus series, especially ones set in the Star Wars universe, tend to follow a very strict pattern when it comes to episode count and runtime, and it seems as though Ahsoka is no exception. While the series is definitely getting longer episodes than an animated show would, they still clock in the 30-minute to an-hour range, as seen below:
While 54 minutes is certainly a sizable chunk of runtime for Ahsoka‘s premiere, its 35-minute third episode ranks as one of the lowest in the history of Star Wars Disney Plus shows. Given the wavering quality of series like The Mandalorian, a shorter runtime can be either a blessing or a curse.
The creative team cast of Ahsoka
The Ahsoka Tano series is being developed by Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni. The latter co-created Ahsoka alongside George Lucas, with the heroine making her first appearance in the animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars.
The cast of the Ahsoka Tano series includes Natasha Liu Bordizzo as Sabine Wren, Eman Esfandi as Ezra Bridger and Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker, a.k.a. Darth Vader. Ivanna Sakhno and Ray Stevenson round out the cast.
Ahsoka debuts in August 2023 on Disney Plus. Stay tuned for the latest news regarding the Star Wars universe and make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content!
