Ahsoka has been a smash hit for Star Wars fans on Disney Plus. Could a second season starring Rosario Dawson already be in the works?
Created by Dave Filoni, Ahsoka was certain to be a success from its conception. Rosario Dawson stars as one of the most beloved Star Wars characters of all time, helmed by the mind behind The Clone Wars. With its finale on Disney Plus arriving in just a few weeks, Hollywood insiders like Daniel Richtman have revealed Disney began work on season 2 prior to the WGA/SAG-AFTRA strikes.
Ahsoka getting a season 2 before season 1 even debuted wouldn’t be a first for Disney Plus, or even for Star Wars. Andor famously had a two-season order out of the gate, with its second season not set to premiere until next September. Given how long the turnaround is on these series, it’s no shock Disney would want to get to work as fast as possible if they knew it would be a success. With how much fans have enjoyed the Rosario Dawson-led series, it’s likely their predictions will pay off.
