Johnny Depp Claims ‘Aquaman’ Star Amber Heard Tried To ‘Blackmail’ Him With Alleged Drug Photo

Johnny Depp is claiming that Aquaman star Amber Heard tried to blackmail him with alleged drug photos as the legal battle between the two continues to heat up.

The courtroom battle between both actors has been ramping up in the past few months, mostly because Johnny Depp filed a $50 million defamation lawsuit towards his ex-wife Amber Heard. As their case continues to go through the motions, The Blast has revealed that Amber Heard’s lawyers showed Johnny Depp’s lawyers a photo of Depp allegedly smoking drugs out of a glass pipe in addition to other pictures showing “alleged illegal drugs and paraphernalia located inside Depp’s home.”

However, Johnny Depp and his team are claiming that these are just tactics by Aquaman star Amber Heard to make him succumb to the case. Amber Heard’s lawyers stated that they would show the photo to the judge if Johnny Depp and his team didn’t step down. They decided that they wouldn’t, and the Aquaman star and her team presented the photo to the judge, hoping that they would incriminate Johnny Depp.

The case will continue to move forward and will go to trial in a few short months. At this point in the case, which is already quite heavily muddled, it’s hard to say who will win the battle. The marriage between Aquaman star Amber Heard and Johnny Depp came to an end in 2017. This came after the restraining order that Amber Heard ordered on Johnny Depp in 2016. Both sides claim innocence and maintain that the other party was responsible for the abuse. Only time will tell what will happen in the ongoing legal battle between Amber Heard and Johnny Depp.

Amber Heard recently starred in the box office hit Aquaman, which hit theatres in December 2018. A sequel is currently in development at Warner Brothers, with Amber Heard expected to return as Mera when the film hits cinemas in 2021. In the meantime, Amber Heard can be seen as Mera in the first Aquaman movie, which is currently available on all home media formats. Here’s the official synopsis:

From Warner Bros. Pictures and director James Wan comes an action-packed adventure that spans the vast, visually breathtaking underwater world of the seven seas, “Aquaman,” starring Jason Momoa in the title role. The film reveals the origin story of half-human, half-Atlantean Arthur Curry and takes him on the journey of his lifetime—one that will not only force him to face who he really is, but to discover if he is worthy of who he was born to be… a king.

Directed by James Wan, Aquaman stars Jason Momoa as Arthur Curry, Amber Heard as Mera, Willem Dafoe as Vulko, Patrick Wilson as Orm / Ocean Master, Dolph Lundgren as Nereus, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Black Manta, Nicole Kidman as Atlanna, Ludi Lin as Captain Murk, and Temuera Morrison as Tom Curry.

Aquaman is available on Digital HD, 4K UHD Combo Pack, Blu-ray Combo Pack, and DVD. Stay tuned for the latest news on the legal battle between Amber Heard and Johnny Depp.
