Andor is officially joining the rebellion! The newest trailer for season 2 of the Disney Plus series gives fans a new look at the grittiest Star Wars prequel.
Fans have been waiting a long, long time for Andor to return to Disney Plus. And with season 2 of Star Wars‘ most beloved series less than a month away, hype has reached an absolute fever pitch to see how the ill-fated story will tie into the broader franchise. And as with any show coming out within a 30 day period, that means a brand new trailer.
While the first “trailer” for Andor season 2 premiered not too long ago in a special look video, this one is a truly proper tease for the series to come. The footage showcases breathtaking cinematography rarely seen in the modern Star Wars universe as Cassian Andor prepares for his final fight against the Empire. It’s a fight that will end in either glory, or flames.

Andor’s Future Beyond Season 2
Of course, Andor is set to come to an end once season 2 draws to a close, with the series coming full-circle with its movie counterpart: Rogue One. However, that doesn’t mean that the story of Andor explicitly has to end. It’s clear that the Disney Plus audience is hungry for gritty, grounded Star Wars content that grapples with the political side of the fantasy series.
This isn’t to imply that Cassian Andor will come back from the dead to continue his stories beyond season 2. Rather, that the influence of Andor will extend to other Star Wars projects on Disney Plus, and potentially even the big screen. While it’s yet to be seen how those influences take hold, this trailer does all-but-guarantee a wild ride in getting there.
