It seems fans will have to wait a little while longer for Andor season 2, with the Star Wars series being pushed to 2025 amid other Disney Plus delays.
It seems not even Star Wars is immune to the shake-ups caused by the recent wave of Hollywood strikes. Numerous projects have been delayed, either due to not being finished or companies not being able to find slots for them in their new content strategies. According to Bespin Bulletin, Andor season 2 is one of these casualties, being delayed to 2025 with fellow Disney Plus series The Acolyte getting pushed to summer 2024.
This puts the gap between Andor season 1 and 2 at an agonizing three years. However, it may be for the best to give other Star Wars projects like The Acolyte time to breathe in the ever-crowded landscape of Disney Plus. Hopefully, this delay to 2025 gives the franchise enough time for people to become excited about the series, as well as give it some major CGI refinement to boot!
