How Andrew Lincoln’s Rick Grimes Returns In ‘The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live’

A new perspective!

The Walking Dead Andrew Lincoln Rick Grimes

Is Rick Grimes back from the dead? The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live series premiere reveals a shocking twist on season 9’s ending.

Season 9 of The Walking Dead saw the show’s protagonist, Rick Grimes, seemingly die fighting off an army of walkers from invading a town. However, Andrew Lincoln is back and better than ever as the iconic zombie killer in The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live. In the premiere, it was revealed that Rick Grimes survived the bridge explosion and is now serving a six-year sentence killing zombies with the Civic Republic Military, a.k.a. the CRM, which he’s been trying to escape.

The premiere of The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live also saw Andrew Lincoln cut off his hand while trying to escape the CRM, recreating one of the most pivotal moments from the comics that Rick Grimes never experienced on the main series. While the show certainly has a lot to prove, this franchise has more than proven death can’t keep heroes down!

What to expect from the Rick and Michonne series

The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live will be just six episodes long, which may disappoint some fans who were hoping for a full season. However, the short episode count could also indicate that the series will be action-packed and fast-paced, with no filler episodes or slow moments.

Fans are eagerly anticipating to see Rick and Michonne back on the small screen. The characters have a long history on The Walking Dead and many are eager to see what adventures and challenges await them in their own series.
