The Flash director Andy Muschietti offered a little tease ahead of the film’s presence at DC FanDome this weekend.

We are now days away from DC FanDome, where we can expect to get more information and reveals for a variety of upcoming projects, including Andy Muschietti’s The Flash. Last year, it was revealed that The Flash will get a new suit in the upcoming film with concept art featuring Michael Keaton’s Batman also shown.

Since filming is near completion, a proper first look at The Flash is likely on the horizon. While we might not be getting a trailer at DC FanDome, Andy Muschietti shared a video on an Instagram Story saying that we can still expect “a little surprise” at the virtual convention:

“Andy Muschietti, Director of The Flash. We are here in Leavesden near London finishing production for The Flash. And we have a little surprise for you. Saturday October 16. DCFandome.com. Go check out the times and enjoy. Me and this guy [Barry Allen] are going to be waiting for you.”

Directed by Andy Muschietti from a script written by Birds of Prey scribe Christina Hodson, The Flash will be inspired by the Flashpoint comic storyline which followed The Flash as he navigated an altered DC Universe. Written by Geoff Johns and penciled by Andy Kuber, Flashpoint radically altered the status of the DC Comics universe and led to the launch of the New 52 titles. It is currently unknown how much inspiration the upcoming Ezra Miller film will take from the comic.

The solo film will star Ezra Miller reprising his role as Barry Allen from Justice Leauge joined alongside Kiersey Clemons as Iris West, Maribel Verdú as Nora Allen, Ron Livingston replacing Billy Crudup as Henry Allen, Sasha Calle debuting as Supergirl, and the return of Michael Keaton and Ben Affleck as their versions of Batman.

The Flash is set to hit theaters on June 3, 2022. Stay tuned for all the latest news on Andy Muschietti’s The Flash and be sure to subscribe to Heroic Hollywood’s YouTube channel for more video content!
