Marvel has announced that the brand new Ant-Man and the Wasp: Nano Battle! E-Ticket attraction will open to the public on March 2019 at the Hong Kong Disneyland Resort.
The attraction, which is based on Ant-Man and the Wasp from the Marvel Cinematic Universe is an interactive experience for guests where they join the titular duo on an epic adventure as they head into a battle.
Marvel released an official description of the new Hong Kong Disneyland ride:
Guests will enter the world of Marvel in Tomorrowland at the S.H.I.E.L.D. Science and Technology Pavilion at the Stark Expo. After boarding a state- of-the-art vehicle at S.H.I.E.L.D.’s research & design facility, guests join Ant-Man and The Wasp in an epic battle against Arnim Zola and his army of evil Hydra Swarm-bots. The film’s stars, Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly, will be reprising their roles as Ant-Man and The Wasp, fighting alongside guests in this epic battle throughout the entire immersive experience.
This is not the first attraction based on a Marvel Studios franchise that has hit a Disney Park since the purchase back in 2009. Hong Kong Disneyland also has the Iron Man Experience and Disney California Adventure has Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! This is also the second time a Marvel attraction will feature some of the actors and actresses reprising their roles for the attraction.
Disney Imagineers have a proven track record of immersing guests into larger-than-life worlds that millions of guests loved watching on the big screen. Particularly in the case of Marvel, an entire generation of audiences will continue to grow and connect with the characters in the MCU not just through the films, but also through theme park attractions from Disney.
