See ‘The Boys’ Star Antony Starr Replace Hugh Jackman As Wolverine

From Homelander to Wolverine.

A new concept design imagines The Boys star Antony Starr as Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine replacement for the Marvel Cinematic Universe movies.

While Antony Starr is currently terrorizing Amazon Prime subscribers as the villainous Homelander on The Boys, this fan art gives the actor the Adamantium claws to replace Hugh Jackman as Wolverine in the MCU. Starr recently said that he’d love to play the mutant on the silver screen, but noted that following up Jackman would be tough to do. It’s not clear how the mutants will be brought into the MCU, but Marvel Studios headKevin Feige has mentioned that he’s working on that.

The fan edit from digital artist ‘britedit’ on Instagram gives The Boys star Antony Starr both the Adamantium claws and Wolverine’s black and yellow outfit. Since Hugh Jackman never got to don the suit, many fans are hoping that Wolverine’s next live-action debut will at least give him a comic-accurate look. After seeing what Antony Starr can do in The Boys and Banshee, his version of Wolverine would be interesting to see. You can see Starr as Wolverine below.

Here is the official synopsis for the second season of The Boys:

The even more intense, more insane season two finds The Boys on the run from the law, hunted by the Supes, and desperately trying to regroup and fight back against Vought. In hiding, Hughie (Jack Quaid), Mother’s Milk (Laz Alonso), Frenchie (Tomer Capon) and Kimiko (Karen Fukuhara) try to adjust to a new normal, with Butcher (Karl Urban) nowhere to be found. Meanwhile, Starlight (Erin Moriarty) must navigate her place in The Seven as Homelander (Antony Starr) sets his sights on taking complete control. His power is threatened with the addition of Stormfront (Aya Cash), a social media-savvy new Supe, who has an agenda of her own. On top of that, the Supervillain threat takes center stage and makes waves as Vought seeks to capitalize on the nation’s paranoia.

The Boys stars Karl Urban Jack Quaid, Antony Starr, Erin Moriarty, Dominique McElligott, Jessie T. Usher, Laz Alonso, Chace Crawford, Tomer Kapon, Karen Fukuhara, and Nathan Mitchell. So far, the series has added Goran Visnjic and Claudia Doumit for season two.

The second season of The Boys premiered on Amazon Prime Video on September 4th. Stay tuned for all the latest news on Antony Starr, Hugh Jackman and the future of Wolverine and be sure to subscribe to Heroic Hollywood’s YouTube channel for more original video content.
