The first official image from Marvel’s Deadpool 3 has hit the web, showcasing a jaw-dropping moment that will undoubtedly leave Marvel fans in awe. The image shows Ryan Reynolds reprising his role as the wise-cracking Merc with the Mouth, alongside X-Men veteran Hugh Jackman as Wolverine. What’s even more thrilling for fans is that Jackman is seen donning a comic book-accurate Wolverine suit for the first time since made his debut as the character in 2000’s X-Men.
Deadpool 3 once again features Ryan Reynolds as the Merc with the Mouth, with Hugh Jackman co-starring as Wolverine. The two characters have a long history in the comics, but the two haven’t shared the big screen since 2009’s X-Men Origins: Wolverine.
The first two Deadpool movies were produced by 20th Century Fox before the studio’s acquisition by The Walt Disney Company. Deadpool 3 is being written as the first movie in the series set within the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Shawn Levy is directing Deadpool 3 after working with Ryan Reynolds on Free Guy and The Adam Project. The upcoming Marvel Studios project also marks a reunion between Levy and Hugh Jackman as the two worked together on Real Steel.
Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick are developing the Deadpool 3 script after penning the first two installments in the series. The Molyneux sisters worked on a previous draft of the project.
