Apple channels Marvel’s Ant-Man in the new iPhone 11 advert.
Apple revealed the new iPhone 11 on Tuesday, showing off all the latest features and upgrades to the phone in a new inventive advert that showcased it’s durability. But many fans were quick to spot the adverts similarities to a scene from Marvel’s Ant-Man. Although the Apple advert doesn’t feature a miniature fight inside of a briefcase, the way the phone is hurled about inside a purse feels very similar to the Marvel film.
A side-by-side comparison video from IGN only sent fans further into a frenzy when comparing the Apple advert with the scene in Marvel’s Ant-Man. The scene in question is during the film’s finale when Ant-Man fights Yellowjacket inside a briefcase while mid-air. The Ant-Man fight even saw Yellowjacket accidentally set off Apple’s Siri, which plays the song Disintegration by The Cure – following a line of dialogue. It’s easy to see the comparison between the Apple advert and Marvel’s Ant-Man, check out the IGN video below.
