Promo art for DC’s Aquaman has been revealed and it features awesome, colorful character designs, as well as some fellow underwater dwellers alongside the titular DC hero.

Aquaman may not be the only comic book film opening this December, but it certainly seems to be the one with the biggest scope. DC’s latest solo film will feature, as seen in the Comic-Con trailer, giant creatures, massive battles, incredible locations, and presumably plenty more that has yet to be shown. The film appears to have a bright color palette to help make those fantastic images pop off the screen and now that color has started becoming more apparent in the film’s marketing.

Between this film, Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse, and Mary Poppins Returns, it seems that the Christmas season is going to be full of plenty of bright, vibrant colors for fans to see on the big screen. The latest promotional images for Aquaman translate James Wan’s colorful adventure film into art that fans will probably be seeing in stores across the world this December. Aquaman is the only DC film to hit the big screen this year but don’t worry if you’re a fan of the franchise. Next year, DC fans will be treated to 3 new DC films hitting theaters, all of which seem to vary quite a bit in story and tone. In April, Shazam! hits theaters starring Zachary Levi as the titular hero. That will be followed by Joker starring Joaquin Phoenix hitting theaters in October, one month before Wonder Woman 1984 arrives in theaters as well.

Besides the theatrically released live-action films, DC will also be releasing new animated films such as Wonder Woman: Bloodlines, Justice League vs. The Fatal Five, Batman: Hush, and Reign of the Supermen. We’ll be sure to keep you updated on all news regarding Aquaman and the entire DC franchise as more information becomes available. What’s your opinion on the promotional material for the film so far?
