‘Aquaman’ Features An Appearance By One Of The DC Hero’s Sidekicks

Aquaman DC Comics Topo

Aquaman footage screened during a press visit to the editing bay revealed that one of the DC hero’s comic book sidekicks will appear in the film.

One the scenes screened for the press involved a showdown between Aquaman and his half-brother Orm, but attendees noted that Topo the Octopus was present during the fight and even provided the music for the duel. In the comics, Topo is a musically gifted Octopus whom Aquaman trained to be one of his sidekicks. While the character would seldom be used in later years, he would be reimagined as a giant monster who had to be summoned with a conch in recent comics.
