This Aquaman Cosplayer Looks So Much Like Jason Momoa It’s Crazy

This cosplayer on the social media platform Instagram bears such a striking resemblance to Jason Momoa as Aquaman that it’s making people turn heads.

Earlier this month, Instagram user “” shared numerous photos of his incredible Aquaman cosplay designed after Jason Momoa’s superhero outfit as seen in his first cinematic solo outing as the DC Comics icon. While the classic orange scale armor he’s wearing is pretty accurate, it’s the cosplayer’s likeness bearing such a crazy similarity to Jason Momoa’s that makes his cosplay the talk of the town.

Check out the cosplayer’s striking take on Jason Momoa’s Aquaman in the Instagram posts below.

It’s very impressive to see how much cosplayers commit to getting their outfits right, but the combo of not only having a comic-accurate suit and also resembling the character you’re portraying is the cherry on top of that aquatic ice cream sundae. Just see how the cosplayer looks like without his Aquaman costume:

Aquaman star Jason Momoa has been protesting the construction of the Thirty Meter Telescope (TMT) atop Hawaii’s Mauna Kea volcano. The area in which TMT is proposed to be constructed is sacred to Native Hawaiian culture and religion. Jason Momoa is joined by many other Hawaiians protesting the construction of the TMT. His Justice League co-star Ezra Miller was also there last month.

Jason Momoa is set to return as Arthur Curry in the yet-to-be titled Aquaman sequel that’s currently in development at Warner Brothers. The project is being written by David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick, who who worked on the first Aquaman movie starring Jason Momoa. James Wan is expected to return to the director’s chair after he completes a horror project for New Line Cinema.

In the meantime, Jason Momoa can be seen as Arthur Curry in Aquaman. Here’s the official synopsis for the movie:

From Warner Bros. Pictures and director James Wan comes an action-packed adventure that spans the vast, visually breathtaking underwater world of the seven seas, “Aquaman,” starring Jason Momoa in the title role. The film reveals the origin story of half-human, half-Atlantean Arthur Curry and takes him on the journey of his lifetime—one that will not only force him to face who he really is, but to discover if he is worthy of who he was born to be… a king.

Directed by James Wan, Aquaman stars Jason Momoa as Arthur Curry, Amber Heard as Mera, Willem Dafoe as Vulko, Patrick Wilson as Orm / Ocean Master, Dolph Lundgren as Nereus, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Black Manta, Nicole Kidman as Atlanna, Ludi Lin as Captain Murk, and Temuera Morrison as Tom Curry.

Aquaman is available on Digital HD, 4K UHD Combo Pack, Blu-ray Combo Pack, and DVD. Stay tuned for the latest news on Aquaman star Jason Momoa and the future of the DC Extended Universe!
