Aquaman actor Jason Momoa recently revealed that he’d be up for replacing Hugh Jackman as the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s version of Wolverine.

According to SuperBroMovies on Twitter, Jason Momoa expressed his interest for playing Wolverine at Celebrity Fan Fest in San Antonio, Texas. Jason Momoa is no stranger to playing the role of a superhero. After the massive success of Aquaman, Jason Momoa is already on board to reprise his role as Arthur Curry in the 2022 sequel. Aquaman earned more than $1.14 billion in the box office and was the first DC Extended Universe film to break a billion worldwide. With that in mind, it’s uncertain whether or not he’d be able to replace Hugh Jackman as Wolverine.

After seventeen years portraying the clawed mutant, Hugh Jackman exited the role of Wolverine after the critically acclaimed film Logan in 2017. Now that the Disney-Fox Merger has happened, fans are wondering who could replace Hugh Jackman as Wolverine. Daniel Ratcliffe has revealed his interest in replacing Hugh Jackman in the claws, and Keanu Reeves would be up for the role as well. Kevin Feige, however, stated not to expect the X-Men in the MCU for a while, so it’s uncertain when we will see a new Wolverine onscreen.
