The final battle won’t be against who fans think! A rumor for Avengers: Doomsday suggests a much bigger scale climax than many fans expect.
The rumor mill has been rather generous with Avengers: Doomsday. While everyone’s mileage may very when it comes to which rumors they accept as genuine and how strongly they believe them, fans broadly know quite a bit about how the film will play out. However, the third act’s final battle has remained a bit of a blind spot.
There’s a few things that are certain, even if there isn’t a single rumor that one is to believe. For a large part of Avengers: Doomsday, the X-Men will be an antagonistic force. At some point, Doctor Doom will make a heel turn and become the true villain. However, with Secret Wars due out next year, it’s been increasingly unclear which of the two will have the true “final battle”.
The Climax Of Avengers: Doomsday
This rumor suggests that the answer may, in fact, be neither. Scooper MyTimeToShineHello suggests that the final battle of Avengers: Doomsday will actually be against the Latverian army. While it’s almost certain that Doctor Doom will be the general of the troops, it’s almost certain he won’t get his hands dirty himself, with the main troopers potentially being Sentinels.
However, anyone familiar with Doctor Doom should know that there’s one element almost every rumor for Avengers: Doomsday forgets about: Doombots. If true, it’s likely that the final battle will show the heroes fighting their way through the Latverian army to Doctor Doom. But when they finally defeat him, they find out that he’s actually been a Doombot this whole time.
Avengers: Doomsday is set to hit theaters in December 2026. Stay tuned for the latest news regarding the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe!
