Arrow showrunner Ben Schwartz recently revealed that a new character will debut on the 150th episode of The CW series.
The CW’s Arrow is on the cusp of celebrating its 150th episode. While viewers might see it as just another episode, it’s a little bit more than that. It’s been confirmed by producers that it will be a documentary-style episode that will continue to move the story forward and not just re-capture Oliver Queen’s journey as the Green Arrow.
Recently, Arrow showrunner Ben Schwartz shared with TV Line that this milestone episode will be introducing a major character to The CW’s inaugural Arrowverse series. Sadly, the character’s identity still remains a mystery. Check out what the Schwartz had to say about the exciting new character debut on Arrow below.
“When we knew our 150th episode was coming up, we obviously wanted to do something special. I know for our 100th episode that we were all very pleased with how that turned out and it felt so nostalgic and perfect, and so we knew we kind of had to try to one-up ourselves. The room came up with the brilliant idea to film it documentary-style, and it allowed us to use all of our favorite characters from past and present in this format, which was something that was really important to us because as you’re hitting such a milestone, you want to see those characters that made the series what it is.”
