TVLine reports that LaMonica Garrett has been cast as a DC Monitor in the CW’s Arrowverse “Elseworlds” crossover. 

The CW’s next Arrowverse crossover will introduce several new characters to the network’s DC universe and Sons of Anarchy alum LaMonica Garrett joins the newcomers as The Monitor. Details on the character’s role in the crossover are currently unknown, though this incarnation of the Monitor, a.k.a. Mar Novu is described as an “extraterrestrial being of infinite power.”

In the DC comics, the Monitors are tasked with watching over the multiverse and preventing crossovers between the universes, intervening only in times of crisis.

The upcoming Arrowverse crossover will find Green Arrow, The Flash, and Supergirl visiting Gotham City after learning about the machinations of an Arkham Asylum doctor. The event will mark the introduction of Ruby Rose as Batwoman and the first appearance of Gotham City in the CW superhero universe. Superman will also appear in the crossover with Tyler Hoechlin reprising the role from Supergirl and Grimm star Elizabeth Tulloch will portray Lois Lane in the character’s Arrowverse debut.

The 2018 Arrowverse crossover event starts with a special episode of The Flash on Sunday, December 9 and continues with Arrow on Monday, December 10. The three-night event concludes with Supergirl on Tuesday, December 11. All three entries will air at 8:00 p.m. ET on their respective nights.
