This rumor is likely a gutshot to Shang-Chi fans, as it likely means a sequel will never come to light. However, if Marvel is eyeing him to be the series’ director after Avengers: Secret Wars, it’s possible Destin Daniel Cretton uses the position as leverage for the studio to allow him to finally make the sequel fans have been begging for.
