Fans finally have their first official look at the set of Avengers: Doomsday! New BTS photos suggests that the film’s environments may be more practical than first thought.
One of the biggest criticisms fans have had going into Avengers: Doomsday is that the film would have too much CGI. To those uninitiated, it may seem an odd thing to complain about before the movie even comes out. However, almost every major set piece in Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame was done with VFX, the team infamously recreating a wall in New York using a blue screen.

However, in the lead-up to Avengers: Doomsday, there’s been a lot of talk about how the Russo brothers have changed their process. Multiple people on the cast and crew have lauded about the practical set pieces used for the project. And while no official pictures have been shared, a few BTS photos from camera operator Hannah Jell may provide a glimpse at a few of the film’s settings.

Where Will Avengers: Doomsday Take Place?
When taking a look at these BTS photos, the first location that comes to mind for fans is the Void. Not only is it a location that has been integral to the Multiverse Saga, thus making it a shoe-in to appear in Avengers: Doomsday, but it’s also ultimately just a desert. It perhaps be the easiest set to do in a practical manner.
As for the forest, many fans believe this may be their first look at Latveria in Avengers: Doomsday. Latervia, of course, being the home country of Doctor Doom. It’s a solid theory, but Latveria in the comics is a very dense collection of European buildings. The foliage often shown around it also doesn’t match the trees in the BTS photos, suggesting it may be a set for something else.
