This may have been because the truth actually spoils a major twist heading into Avengers: Doomsday. A rumor from MyTimeToShineHello sheds some light on Doctor Doom’s dynamic with Marvel’s First Family. Surprisingly, it seems as though the notorious villain may actually be teaming up with the Fantastic Four through most of the film.
“In Avengers: Doomsday, Victor asks the Fantastic Four for help with the Incursions. They travel together to the MCU in their ship to warn everyone, then join forces to head to the X-Men universe – the source of the next Incursion. They have to fix it before that universe destroys their own.”

This rumor actually lines up with prior reports fans have gotten about the role Doctor Doom plays in Avengers: Doomsday. It seems as though the villain won’t be the antagonist- at least for a large portion of this movie. Though even then, it may come as a shock to long-time fans to see such an iconic villain working alongside the Fantastic Four.
Of course, this rumor only covers the events of Avengers: Doomsday, and doesn’t give any insight onto future projects like Secret Wars. It’s likely, whether at the end of this film or throughout the next one, that Doctor Doom will turn heel and properly face off against the Fantastic Four. And hopefully, when that time comes, it’ll be as glorious as fans imagine.
