Her last outing as Captain Marvel laid the foundation for the Incursions that’ll likely be key to this leg of the Multiverse Saga. So this rumor confirming that it’s actually her spaceship that will appear in the film lines up with what fans know to expect in the upcoming film.
Of course, the question is if Brie Larson will be alone in the cast of Avengers: Doomsday. It’s likely that Teyonah Parris will return as Spectrum given how closely she ties in with Captain Marvel’s current story. However, it’s possible than Iman Vellani’s Kamala Khan may end up left on the cutting room floor as Marvel tries to cram as many characters as they can into the film.
