This opened the floodgates of speculation about which hero Marvel might be hiding when it came to the cottage in Avengers: Doomsday. Some popular names included Sentry, Blue Marvel, and Pepper Potts. However, perhaps the most substantiated of the ideas was Captain Marvel, given the heroine’s space ship was reportedly scene just outside of the set.

The scooper reveals that the name was used for Chris Evans during the production of Avengers: Doomsday to hide his role in the film. And, while not confirmed, this has led many to suspect that “Iron Fist” could be a stand-in for Hayley Hatwell.
This rumor, if true, may be disappointing for some fans. It was all-but-confirmed that Chris Evans would be making his return in Avengers: Doomsday. However, despite how iconic characters like Luke Cage and Iron Fist have been in the history of the Avengers franchise, neither have made their debut on the silver screen. Hopefully that’ll change come Secret Wars!
