The cast of Avengers: Doomsday just keeps getting bigger! A rumor seems to reveal how long Marvel plans to keep some characters a secret from audiences.
Avengers: Doomsday has an absolutely massive cast. However, despite the sheer amount of characters already confirmed to appear in the film, fans know there’s still more to come. There’s dozens of Marvel staples left completely on the cutting room floor, and the rumor mill has teased even more new and old faces are left in store.
However, the question has become not IF the cast will get bigger, but WHEN fans will find out about it. Avengers: Doomsday still has 15 months until it hits theaters. Assuming the first major trailer will release with the Superbowl, that’s still 10 months that Marvel needs to fill with reveals and teases to help build the hype with audiences.

Fans have gotten just a bit of insight on this process in the latest rumor round-up from Alex Perez at The Cosmic Circus. The scooper reveals that Marvel plans to hold back some cast members set to appear in the film until Avengers: Doomsday officially hits theaters. This includes some returning faces, as well as new actors making their debut in the franchise.
“I really wouldn’t know. The safest bet is honestly the day the movie comes out because even if they do a second chair reveal, there are still some characters Marvel are keeping secret until the premiere. Some of these characters are new, some of these characters are old, and some are legacy.”
Given how busy the rumor mill has been with churning out reports on the cast of Avengers: Doomsday, it’s hard to exactly narrow down what’s true and what’s merely speculation. Some heavy hitters that could join the cast include, but are not limited to, Josh Brolin’s Thanos, Nicolas Cage’s Ghost Rider, Ryan Gosling in an unknown role, and even Millie Bobby Brown.
