The Avengers: Doomsday cast just keeps getting bigger! The latest rumor adds some major names to the roster of the highly-anticipated film.
Avengers: Doomsday is shaping up to have one of the biggest cast lists of any superhero film in history. The infamous “Chair Day” revealed dozens of beloved heroes making their return on the silver screen. And, if the rumor mill is telling the truth, fans may be in store for yet another drop of major players sometime this year.
Ahead of Chair Day 2: Tokyo Drift, fans are getting a bit of a tease about what characters they can expect. Scooper Alex Perez at the Cosmic Circus recently revealed over a dozen heroes being added to the cast of Avengers: Doomsday. And while they’re not exactly unexpected names, any rumor putting them in the running is certainly exciting.
“I could see them doing a casting update before the end of the year, but I really wouldn’t expect any big surprises outside maybe 1 or 2 I’ve heard being brought in for Avengers: Doomsday, since it’s mainly just heroes from Earth-616 that have already been rumored before…”
“…like Peter Parker, Stephen Strange, Clea, Monica Rambeau, Bruce Banner, [She-Hulk], Kate Bishop, Kamala Khan, Cassie Lang, Love, Hope Van Dyne, Okoye, Team Loki, Deadpool, Wolverine, etc.”
The Missing Cast Of Avengers: Doomsday
While these are some major additions to the cast of Avengers: Doomsday, this rumor still misses out on some major members of the MCU’s recent roster. This includes major players from the Infinity Saga like Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch and Paul Bettany’s Vision, as well as newer additions like Joe Locke’s Wiccan and Xochitl Gomez’ America Chavez.
It’s possible that some of the major names left off this Avengers: Doomsday rumor are included in the “etc”, or are simply being saved for Avengers: Doomsday. However, it truly does seem like some of the smaller fan-favorite actors will be left on the wayside. While a major shame, here’s to hoping that they find their way into some cast list before the end of the Multiverse Saga.
