The MCU just keeps getting bigger! A rumor suggests that Steve Rogers may return with a much larger family during the events of Avengers: Doomsday.
While it’s all-but-confirmed that Chris Evans will return as Steve Rogers in Avengers: Doomsday, the big question on everyone’s minds is how and why the character will come out of retirement. After all, the hero is overtly geriatric in the MCU’s current timeline. This has led much of the rumor mill to assume that the hero will actually return as a multiversal villain variant.
However, things may not be so simple. A rumor from MyTimeToShineHello suggests that Steve Rogers may have been getting busy since fans last saw him in the MCU. The scooper suggests that he and Peggy Carter will have children when they return in Avengers: Doomsday, with the kids potentially serving as a catalyst for why they join the fight once more.
Does Steve Rogers Have Kids In The MCU?
This rumor lines up with recent photos that show vintage cars on the set of Avengers: Doomsday. This suggests that someone may be taking a trip back in time to recruit Steve Rogers shortly after he departed the MCU, meaning Chris Evans won’t have to slap on the elderly makeup for too long when he makes his return in Avengers: Doomsday.

While it’s likely that these kids will simply be original creations for Avengers: Doomsday, Steve Rogers does have a few kids that could be brought into the MCU. Perhaps the most infamous is Ian Zola, an adopted clone he took in during the Zolandia storyline. However, it’s also possible that the writers will reintroduce James Rogers: the future son of Steve Rogers and Black Widow who appeared in the Next Avengers continuity.
Avengers: Doomsday is set to hit theaters in December 2026. Stay tuned for the latest news regarding the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and make sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more content!
