Are these the most confusing set photos of all time? A set of statues have led fans to forget everything they thought they knew about Avengers: Doomsday.
With production on Avengers: Doomsday officially underway, set photos have already begun to leak. While the first batch was of a crater, the second batch was infinitely more interesting, with many believing it to be fans’ first look at the X-Men campus. However, new images from that same set reveal a group of destroyed statues on the greenery, and they’re of characters that fans can’t exactly place with the obscured details.

Even though its impossible to tell who these statues are of through grainy set photos, some still believe that they’re looking at the X-Men campus. This was supported by another image released later from the same set, revealing a statue with feathery wings. Many took this as confirmation that the X-Men member Angel will appear in Avengers: Doomsday, or will at least be referenced.

Are These Statues X-Men Or Avengers?
Yet it seems as though the X-Men aren’t the only people represented by statues. In the most confusing image yet from these batches of set photos, a statue is revealed to be wearing a bun with a rope around their arm. Many believe that this statue may be of Kate Bishop, suggesting that this Avengers: Doomsday set may not solely be based around the X-Men.

Currently, those are all the set photos released from Avengers: Doomsday, leaving fans more lost than when they started. It’s possible that none of these statues identities were right, meaning that the location isn’t associated with the Avengers or the X-Men. Though given it’s likely actors will be on set sooner than later, an answer may be revealed in the next few weeks.
