‘Avengers: Endgame’ Fan Reveals Incredible Chris Hemsworth Fat Thor Costume For Halloween

A fan of Avengers: Endgame vowed to grow his beard out so he could become Chris Hemsworth’s Thor in time for Halloween, with a convincing costume.

Dressing up as superheroes for Halloween is nothing uncommon, and considering the popularity of Avengers: Endgame, seeing many kids and adults dress up in costume as characters from the film seemed — dare we say it — inevitable. But some go above and beyond with their efforts, as one fan grew his beard out to make for an authentic take on Chris Hemsworth’s “Fat Thor”, as he’s affectionately called by the fans. In the events of Avengers: Endgame, Chris Hemsworth’s Thor becomes so depressed by his failure to stop Thanos before he could destroy half of all life in the universe that he becomes reclusive, fails to take care of his hygiene, and gains a lot of weight from eating and drinking unhealthily.

However, he’s back in fighting shape by the end of Avengers: Endgame, after getting a pep-talk from an alternate timeline version of his mother, Frigga. At the end of the story, he decides that he’s better off as a warrior protecting his people from faraway threats than he is as Asgard’s King, bestowing that title to Valkyrie (who held the fort while Thor was in his drunken stupor for five years). He then joins the Guardians of the Galaxy, to Star-Lord’s dismay. Check out the Fat Thor cosplay below:

As of right now, the future for Chris Hemsworth’s Thor is wide open. While the Avengers are over for the time being, it has not yet been decided on whether or not Chris Hemsworth will need to wear the fatsuit again in the upcoming Thor: Love and Thunder, since the timeline on that film hasn’t yet been decided upon. It’s also not clear what — if any — role Chris Hemsworth’s Thor will play in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.

Here is the official synopsis for Avengers: Endgame:

The grave course of events set in motion by Thanos that wiped out half the universe and fractured the Avengers ranks compels the remaining Avengers to take one final stand in Marvel Studios’ grand conclusion to twenty-two films, Avengers: Endgame.

Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, Avengers: Endgame stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Don Cheadle, Paul Rudd, Brie Larson, Karen Gillan, Danai Gurira, Benedict Wong, Jon Favreau, Bradley Cooper, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Josh Brolin.

Avengers: Endgame is now available on Digital HD, 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD.
