Warning: The following post may contain Avengers: Endgame spoilers!

GameStop’s Avengers: Endgame toy ad shows a returning character that we have not seen until now.

Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Infinity War concluded with Thanos acquiring all of the Infinity Stones and harnessing their power to eradicate half of the population in the universe, but many characters met their demise before the infamous decimation, including Ebony Maw. However, a new toy ad for Endgame includes the deceased Ebony Maw alongside figures of Captain America and Ronin. While it should be noted that toys do not always accurately reflect the final version of a film, it is widely believed that our heroes will attempt to undo Thanos decimation through the use of time travel, which would mean Ebony Maw’s return is not outside the realm of possibility.

Avengers: Endgame will serve as both a follow up to Avengers: Infinity War as well as the conclusion to the 22 films that came before it before Marvel kicks off Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe with Spider-Man: Far From Home in July.

Here is the plot synopsis for Avengers: Endgame:

The grave course of events set in motion by Thanos that wiped out half the universe and fractured the Avengers ranks compels the remaining Avengers to take one final stand in Marvel Studios’ grand conclusion to twenty-two films, “Avengers: Endgame.”

Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, Avengers:Endgame stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo,  Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Don Cheadle, Paul Rudd, Brie Larson, Karen Gillan, Danai Gurira, Benedict Wong, Jon Favreau, Bradley Cooper, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Josh Brolin.

Avengers: Endgame will be released in theaters on April 26, 2019. Stay tuned to Heroic Hollywood for the latest news on the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe as we learn it.
