Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige chose a scene in Avengers: Endgame as his favorite moment in the history of the MCU.
Throughout the past decade of Marvel Studios films, the franchise has offered fans no shortage of incredible and moving moments. Many of those moments were featured in producer Kevin Feige’s Avengers: Endgame, the penultimate chapter of the 23-film Infinity Saga.
Perhaps one of the most memorable Avengers: Endgame scenes occurred during the final battle against Thanos, in which a seemingly lone and injured Captain America found himself confronting Thanos and his army only to be joined by fallen heroes of Infinity War, who emerged from portals created by Doctor Strange after being brought back by our heroes. During a fan Q&A session, Kevin Feige named this moment as his favorite in the history of his career at Marvel:
“We’re entering this moment, which I’ve said before is the happiest and proudest moment of my career with Marvel Studios. Which is when Steve [Rogers] is standing up against all of Thanos’ army and it looks like all is lost. And he’s still going to do it even with a Titan-broken shield on his hurt arm. He steps forward then all of a sudden he hears something in his ear and over his shoulder.”
Kevin Feige also discussed how incredible it was was to have nearly every star of the Marvel Cinematic Universe on set the day the scene was filmed:
“This sequence of them arriving we shot a number of times in a number of different ways, utilizing most of the footage we shot each time and every time, it was overwhelmingly emotional having everyone there on the same day. There were certain days when everyone you saw there in the frame was there on set in Pinewood Atlanta.”
