A fan spotted a callback to the Thor and Hulk fight in the first Avengers film during the climactic showdown of Endgame.
After Thor, Hulk, and the rest of the remaining Avengers returned from the past with the Infinity Stones, the team was ambushed by a 2014 version of Thanos and his forces after the Mad Titan followed them to the present. Having destroyed the Avengers’ headquarters, Thanos engaged in a battle against Thor, Captain America, and Iron Man that eventually led to the First Avenger wielding the God of Thunder’s hammer Mjolnir.
At that point, Captain America used Thor’s hammer to deliver several blows against Thanos and one fan spotted similarities between their showdown and Thor’s battle with the Hulk in the first Avengers film. As fans can see by watching the video in the post below, portions of Captain America’s fight against Thanos in Avengers: Endgame playout almost exactly the same as the showdown between Thor and Hulk in the titular team’s first film.
