Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) uses the mirror dimension to his advantage in new Avengers: Infinity War concept art.
Avengers: Infinity War had a universe-spanning adventure that featured no shortage of action set pieces. One of the highlights of the films was Thanos’ (Josh Brolin) clash with Doctor Strange, Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Mantis (Pom Klementieff), Drax (Dave Bautista), Star-Lord (Chris Pratt), Nebula (Karen Gillan), and Spider-Man (Tom Holland) on the planet Titan. This battle featured all of the listed heroes using almost every one of their unique abilities to stop the Mad Titan from completing his treacherous plan.
Given Doctor Strange’s mystical abilities, his attacks on Thanos were some of the most eye-popping special effects in the movie. Marvel Studios visual artist Anthony Francisco recently posted a piece of concept art from the film on Instagram that showcases one particular move from the Sorcerer Supreme that did not reach the big screen. Check out the incredible art in the post below.
Unfortunately, Doctor Strange was one of many Marvel Cinematic Universe heroes that fell victim to Thanos’ snap. A sequel to the Marvel hero’s first film has been announced so the character is expected to return in some way during Avengers: Endgame. After all, he’s the one person who has seen the single scenario in which he and the fellow heroes of the MCU stopped Thanos’ destruction upon the universe.
