New concept art from Avengers: Infinity War reveals the creatures from Thanos’ battle with Doctor Strange in the finale.

Given the huge scale of Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame, it isn’t surprising that plenty of ideas and concepts didn’t make it into the final versions of both films. But new concept art from the film reveals a monstrous creature that audiences didn’t really get to see during Infinity War. The new design was created for the fight between Josh Brolin’s Thanos and Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange, and it’s definitely a creepy looking beast.

The design comes from Jerad S. Marantz, who extensively worked on both of the recent Avengers films. The artist explained in the caption that he did several versions of these bat creatures, and he was surprised when they didn’t have a big role in the final fight between Josh Brolin’s Thanos and Doctor Strange. Marantz also revealed that they were intended to be featured much more heavily. Take a look at the new creature design from Avengers: Infinity War below.
