One Marvel fan claims to have spotted an Avengers 4 poster in the background of the mysterious image released by directors Joe & Anthony Russo that teased fans to “Look closer”.
Since before Avengers: Infinity War even hit theaters, fans have been guessing what could be in store for Earth’s mightiest heroes in their fourth big-screen adventure together. When Infinity War hit theaters, the finale shocked Marvel fans all over the world. The predicament that our surviving heroes have been left in by the end of both Infinity War and Ant-Man and the Wasp have kept fans guessing how the heroes of the MCU will save the day.
The anticipation only grew more when directors Joe and Anthony Russo released a photo on social media, seemingly from the Avengers 4 set, that encouraged fans to “Look closer”. Fans have come up with all kinds of theories as to what the Russos could be hinting at but the directors have yet to reveal the secret behind the photo. One Reddit user by the name of SuperTengenToppaGL made a post claiming to have spotted an Avengers 4 poster hidden in the background of the photo. Check out the image below to decide for yourself.
It’s a pretty blurry image so it could be anything at this point, but the theory isn’t exactly out of this world. Marvel, and especially the Russos, love to tease fans so it’s possible that’s a poster, though not definite. Now that it’s been spotted, maybe we’ll get some fans hungry enough to go in there and try to decipher the image, which is now a whole new puzzle in itself. Avengers 4 doesn’t hit theaters until next year but now that Marvel has revealed the first footage from Captain Marvel, the trailer for the Infinity War follow up could drop any day now, though no release date for the trailer has been announced by Marvel or Disney yet.
