Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame concept artist Rodney Fuentebella revealed an early costume design for Red Skull.
Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame reunited audiences with several characters from past Marvel Cinematic Universe films, including the villainous Red Skull from the first Captain America film. Last seen being transported through a wormhole after handling the Tesseract, Red Skull returned as the guardian of the Soul Stone on the planet Vormir.
Now, concept artist Rodney Fuentebella has taken to his official Instagram account to share an early costume design for Red Skull that is notably different from the outfit seen in the last two Avengers films. As Fuentebella explained, the concept behind this alternate outfit was that the character took on the clothing of the many people he may have met in space during his time as the “Soul Keeper.”
Check out the Red Skull concept art below.
What do you think of this Red Skull design? Would you have preferred to see this version of his outfit in the film? Were you surprised to see the villain return on both of the Marvel Studios epics? Let us know in the comments section below.
