Fans have launched a petition calling on Marvel Studios to reverse the fate of Robert Downey Jr’s Iron Man in Avengers: Endgame.
The climactic battle between heroes of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and Thanos’ forces concluded with Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man using the Infinity Stones to erase the invaders, sacrificing his own life in the process. While many felt Avengers: Endgame offered a fitting conclusion to the story of the once self-centered Iron Man, it appears some want Marvel Studios to bring Robert Downey Jr.’s Tony Stark back and they have launched a petition asking for the character’s fate to be reversed:
MCU’s Tony deserves to come back fully alive. Tony Stark was always ready to risk his life, suffer, and sacrifice himself for anyone, without ever receiving anything in return. Since the beginning, since he was a kid. He can never be happy, and when he finally got what he always wanted, and deserved, his wife, his daughter, his family.. he died. He didn’t deserve this and it’s not fair, after everything he’s been through, and done for everyone, he deserves to live and see his daughter grow up.
As of now, the petition has garnered 18, 202 signatures and counting.
