Avengers star Jeremy Renner is keeping his social media followers updated on his recovery from his recent snow plow accident.

Jeremy Renner broke more than 30 bones as a result of his New Year’s Day accident near his home in Reno, Nevada, as revealed in a new Instagram post. The Avengers star took to his official Instagram page to share a photo of himself undergoing physical therapy for his injuries, which required at least two surgeries.

Based on the caption of his Instagram post, Jeremy Renner appears to be in good spirits as he continues his journey to recovery. Renner suffered blunt chest trauma and other orthopedic injuries during the accident, so he has quite the long road ahead of him.

Members of the Marvel Cinematic Universe recently shared messages of support to Jeremy Renner. Hailee Steinfeld, Mark Ruffalo and Chris Evans were among the actors who offered words of encouragement to the actor via social media.

What happened to Jeremy Renner on New Year’s Day?

During a press conference, Washoe County Sheriff Darin Balaam revealed the first official details regarding Jeremy Renner’s New Year’s Day accident. According to Balaam, Renner was run over by his 14,000-lb snow-plowing machine while attempting to get back on the driver’s seat of the vehicle, which started moving while he was talking to a family member who was trapped in snow near his house in Reno. Renner was trying to help his relative with the machine.

“Jeremy’s family would like to express their gratitude to the incredible doctors and nurses looking after him, Truckee Meadows Fire and Rescue, Washoe County Sheriff, Reno City Mayor Hillary Schieve and the Carano and Murdock families,” a statement from Renner’s representation reads. “They are also tremendously overwhelmed and appreciative of the outpouring of love and support from his fans.”

Jeremy Renner is best known for his work as Clint Barton AKA Hawkeye in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The actor recently starred in a six-episode Hawkeye series on Disney Plus and can now be seen in the second season of the Paramount Plus crime thriller Mayor of Kingstown.
