The first trailer for DC’s upcoming animated feature, Batman and Superman: Battle of The Super Sons, pits the sons of Batman and Superman against a terrifying Suicide Squad foe.
Warner Bros. Animation’s latest DC film features the sons of Batman and Superman, who are currently appearing in DC’s comics. Damian Wayne, the son of Bruce Wayne and Talia al Ghul, is Batman’s current Robin. Superman’s son with Lois Lane, Jon Kent, is Superboy. In the current comics, Jon has even taken over his father’s mantle, serving as Metropolis’ current Superman.
Battle of the Super Sons sees the two young heroes meeting for the first time and coming up against Starro the Conqueror, the giant mind-controlling alien starfish who appeared in live action in last year’s The Suicide Squad.
Super Sons & The Justice League
The new trailer sees Jon and Damian being introduced to each other by Batman and Superman in the Batcave. Things soon go awry, however, as heroes and civilians around the world start falling prey to the control of Starro, forcing Robin and Superboy to join forces against the alien creature.
As well as Batman and Superman, the trailer offers a look at other Justice League members and other teen heroes. Green Arrow and Martian Manhunter are both glimpsed, as are Kid Flash, Beast Boy and Wonder Girl. The trailer showcases the film’s CG animation – Battle of the Super Sons is the first animated DC movie to be entirely computer animated. Check out the new trailer below:
