Will he make a return?

Batman actor Ben Affleck recently revealed whether or not fellow Caped Crusader actor George Clooney is in The Flash.

The road to the upcoming DC film, The Flash, has been long and more than a little dramatic. After countless changes in directors, multiple script redos, the film finally settled on one director and script. One of the film’s biggest selling points, however, has been the return of not only Ben Affleck’s Batman but also Michael Keaton. Some, however, have also wondered if George Clooney’s Batman could make a potential return.

Despite still being a high-profile movie star, George Clooney only made one appearance as Batman in the infamous 1997 film, Batman And Robin. To put it mildly, the film was destroyed by fans and critics and was an infamous box office dud. The film was such a big setback for Warner Bros that it effectively canceled any and all superhero projects it had on the assembly line and trashed the careers of many involved. George Clooney, on the other hand, managed to walk away from the bomb nearly unscathed and some have wondered if he could be up for a return in The Flash.

In a recent episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live, the host had Ben Affleck on the show. During the interview, he coyly asked the actor if George Clooney was involved with The Flash. The Batman actor said that, to his knowledge, he wasn’t involved in the film but admitted that he could have been without knowing it. You can see the full interview below:

Directed by Andy Muschietti from a script written by Birds of Prey scribe Christina Hodson, The Flash will be inspired by the Flashpoint comic storyline, which followed The Flash as he navigated an altered DC Universe. Written by Geoff Johns and penciled by Andy Kuber, Flashpoint radically altered the status of the DC Comics universe and led to the launch of the New 52 titles. It is currently unknown how much inspiration the upcoming Ezra Miller film will take from the comic.

The upcoming solo film will star Ezra Miller reprising their role as Barry Allen from Justice Leauge joined alongside Kiersey Clemons as Iris West, Maribel Verdú as Nora Allen, Ron Livingston replacing Billy Crudup as Henry Allen, Sasha Calle debuting as Supergirl, and the return of Michael Keaton and Ben Affleck as their versions of Batman.

The Flash is set to hit theaters on November 4, 2022. Stay tuned for all the latest news surrounding the film and be sure to subscribe to Heroic Hollywood’s YouTube channel for more original video content.
