A Florida man donned a Batman costume to escort a bullied toddler to school.
WABI5 reports Florida man and Batman impersonator Jack Asbury reached out to the family of 3-year-old Lydia after spotting a Facebook message written by her mother, Erica Calculli. The message regarded the bullying Lydia was facing at school, which included being hit by classmates and having a shoe thrown at her.
Despite reporting the bullying to the school, no action was taken and Erica Calculli turned to social media, where Jack Asbury learned of the situation and offered to escort Lydia to school dressed at Batman. In a post on the Facebook Group called “The Batman of Spring Hill,” photos were shared of Jack Asbury / Batman walking Lydia to school and later being invited to her classroom.

Meanwhile, Warner Bros. is currently gearing up to bring the Dark Knight back to the big screen in The Batman. Plot details for The Batman are currently under wraps, though the film will center around a younger Bruce Wayne and features a Rogues’ Gallery of villains that reportedly includes Catwoman. The Matt Reeves film will follow Batman during his formative years as Gotham City’s protector and will make use of the Dark Knight’s detective skills to a greater extent than previous DC films. It is expected to be the first chapter in a new trilogy with Robert Pattinson as the Caped Crusader.
Matt Reeves’ The Batman is one of the many projects currently being developed by Warner Bros. and DC. These projects include The Flash standalone film, Green Lantern Corps, Black Adam, Cyborg, Supergirl, New Gods, and Nightwing.
The Batman will be released in theaters on June 25, 2021.
