Ben Affleck Shares Cryptic Deathstroke Video

UPDATE: The Wrap has revealed that Deathstroke will be the main antagonist in Ben Affleck’s Batman movie.

Woah, this came out of nowhere. Ben Affleck, who’s currently filming Justice League in London, decided that it would be a great idea to break the internet this morning, so he took to Twitter to share test footage of Deathstroke.

The video seems to be some sort of costume test on the set of Justice League, which is knee-deep into production. We know that Ben Affleck will direct and star in a standalone Batman movie, which he co-wrote alongside Geoff Johns, but the movie doesn’t have an official release date yet. This means that this video could be a costume test for one of these two projects… or perhaps even both.

There’s a chance that Deathstroke could make his big screen debut in Justice League and later become one of the antagonists in Affleck’s Batman movie, which is rumored to feature a large ensemble of villains. That’s pure speculation, though, but I think it’s interesting that the Batmobile is right behind him. What do you guys think?

You can check out the video below.

Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat. But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes—Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash—it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.

Starring Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Ezra Miller, Jason Momoa, Ray Fisher, Amy Adams, Jesse Eisenberg, Amber Heard, Jeremy Irons, J.K. Simmons, Willem Dafoe and Julian Lewis Jones, Justice League hits theaters on November 17, 2017.
