It appears that the stunt actor being used by Ben Affleck for The Flash is the same actor used by Robert Pattinson for The Batman.

Late last month, Andy Muschietti’s The Flash was filming in Glasgow, which doubled as the film’s Gotham City. While not much is known about the happenings onset, a huge chase sequence featuring Ben Affleck’s Batman on the Batcycle was being shot. Affleck wasn’t actually the one in the scene as he was vacationing with Jennifer Lopez at the time. The stunt looked extremely dangerous, so it was best to leave it to the professionals. However, a fan realized that the professional Batman stunt actor looked familiar.

Robert Pattinson’s The Batman was also shot in Glasgow, making it the first film to turn the historical gothic city into DC’s Gotham. The Pattinson film also features a motorcycle chase sequence. Upon further inquiry, Reddit user Nostar123 came to the conclusion that Ben Affleck’s Batman was sharing the same motorcycle stunt actor as Pattinson.

The Batman stunt actor in question is Rick English, a stunt actor, and cyclist. Aside from playing The Caped Crusader in The Flash and The Batman, English has appeared in Spider-Man: Far From Home and Avengers: Age of Ultron. While it’s unlikely that Ben Affleck and Robert Pattinson’s Batmen will crossover, this fun production secret for both iterations should make for fun trivia night questions!

Directed by Andy Muschietti from a script written by Birds of Prey scribe Christina Hodson, The Flash stars Ezra Miller, Ben Affleck, Michael Keaton, Sasha Calle, Kiersey Clemons, Maribel Verdu, and Ron Livingston. The film will be inspired by the Flashpoint comic storyline, which followed The Flash as he navigated an altered DC Universe. Written by Geoff Johns and penciled by Andy Kuber, Flashpoint radically altered the status of the DC Comics universe and led to the launch of the New 52 titles. It is currently unknown how much inspiration the upcoming Ezra Miller film will take from the comic.

The Flash is set to hit theaters on November 4, 2022. Stat tuned for all the latest news surrounding the Ezra Miller film and be sure to subscribe to Heroic Hollywood’s YouTube channel for more original video content.
