The Avengers: Endgame script features an Easter egg related to Beta Ray Bill.
As the awards campaign grows for Avengers: Endgame, Marvel Studios has released the script for the film online in hopes of landing a best script nomination down the line. Since the script hit the internet, fans have reading it to see if it will give them brand new information regarding the film. The Avengers: Endgame script is packed with cut lines, Easter eggs, and general Marvel fun, but there’s one little bit of information that won’t stop exciting fans.
According to the Avengers: Endgame script, the planet 2014 Gamora and Evil Nebula are on is in fact Korbin, and the mechanized soldiers they’re fighting are Korbinites. Of course, this isn’t the first time Beta Ray Bill has been teased in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In the Grandmaster’s tower in Thor: Ragnarok, fans spotted a statue that was eerily similar to Beta Ray Bill. It is disappointing that fans didn’t get the chance to see Beta Ray Bill in Avengers: Endgame, but knowing that his home-planet canonically exists is the perfect seed to plant. As the MCU continues to grow after Avengers: Endgame, characters like Beta Ray Bill will become a necessity to focus on, as we can’t always be following the Guardians, can we? While Beta Ray Bill hasn’t been officially confirmed in the MCU, it’s good to know there’s a wealth of lore that can be used from the planet Korbin.
