The Crow has come to roost! The upcoming reboot of the 1994 cult classic will be led by It star Bill Skarsgård and be distributed by Lionsgate.
A reboot of The Crow has been in various stages of production for nearly two decades. It seems as though the film is finally nearing completion, with Lionsgate securing domestic distribution rights for the project, with the studio aiming for a 2024 release. The movie is being directed by Rupert Sanders, best known for his work on Snow White and the Huntsman and Ghost in the Shell.
The Crow was based on the graphic novel of the same name released in 1989. The story revolves around a young man named Eric Draven who was brutally murdered with his fiancée before being resurrected by the titular crow and swearing vengeance against his murderers. The Bill Skarsgard-led reboot is set to adapt the story in a similar way to the 1994 film.
