Star Wars: The Force Awakens actress Billie Lourd has shared a photo of herself on Instagram as a child with her late mother, Carrie Fisher. The photo features Lourd and Fisher looking up at the sky in wonder.
Lourd’s spirits seem to be much higher as of late. The actress suffered two devastating losses in December when her mother Carrie Fisher suffered a major heart attack on a transatlantic flight from London to Los Angeles just two days before Christmas.
Carrie held on but tragically slipped away just four days later. The following day Lourd’s grandmother, Debbie Reynolds, suffered a stroke due to the overwhelming stress of losing Carrie.
Shortly after both devastating losses, Lourd thanked fans for the outpouring of support in such a difficult time.
Lourd will next be seen later this year in the upcoming film Billionaire Boys Club starring alongside Kingsman star Taron Egerton. The actress is also set to reprise her role as Lieutenant Connix of the Resistance in Star Wars: The Last Jedi when it hits theaters this Holiday season.
Carrie Fisher will also reprise her role as General Leia for the last time in The Last Jedi. The actress is reported to have a larger role in the upcoming film.
The film stars Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Domhnall Gleeson, Gwendoline Christie, Benicio del Toro, Laura Dern, Kelly Marie Tran, and Andy Serkis.
Star Wars: The Last Jedi hits theaters December 15, 2017.
