Billy Eichner Blasts Aquaman On ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’

Billy Eichner Aquaman

Last night on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, actor and comedian Billy Eichner (host of Funny Or Die’s Billy On the Streets) interrupted Kimmel’s opening monologue. Just as the host was about to dive into Aquaman‘s big box office success, Eichner, dressed in a muscley Namor the Sub-Mariner suit (complete with iconic green underwear and winged boots), stood up and began heckling his fellow comedian from the crowd. The twist? Eichner was in character as a very jaded version of the unsung Marvel hero:

“Oh, enough with Aquaman!”

Eichner made it clear he was upset with Marvel Studios for not yet making a Namor the Sub-Mariner movie:

“I wanna know why Prince Namor, aka the Sub-Mariner, how come he doesn’t get his own movie?

In turn, Kimmel pointed out that Namor just is not as– well, cool– as Aquaman, poking fun at the character’s ability to communicate with sea life via an elaborate horn:

“That power is kind of lame.”

The hilarious squabble went back and forth before climaxing with an impassioned face-to-face confrontation and Eichner storming off stage with someone dressed as a dolphin.
