Dwayne Johnson just can’t catch a break! A sign mocking Black Adam was seen in the crowd during his return to the WWE during WrestleMania 40.
For as bad as the Hollywood strikes were for films, they were a great time for WWE fans. Massive stars like Dwayne Johnson and John Cena made their long-awaited return to the ring following years of sticking to movies like Black Adam and The Suicide Squad.
However, it seems Dwayne Johnson’s movie career is continuing to haunt him even during his return to the WWE. Johnson made another appearance in the ring during WrestleMania 40’s Saturday headliner. All seemed well and good until a fan was spotted holding a “Black Adam Sucked!” sign in the background of the live feed.
Fans Can’t Get Enough Of The Black Adam Slander
The jokes on Black Adam weren’t just limited to that one audience member. Following the sign’s appearance during the WrestleMania 40 broadcast, WWE fans across the world took to social media to mock The Rock’s DC flop.
Despite all the ribbing at Dwayne Johnson’s expense, his appearance cemented WrestleMania 40 as a truly historic match for the WWE. From matches featuring Logan Paul and Roman Reigns to the grand return of The Undertaker, The Rock did truly change the hierarchy of power. It just so happens Black Adam wasn’t the project to do it!
